Group B Recap: Boulogne gets win and tiebreaker vs. Malaga

Anthony Brown scored a team-high 18 points and six rebounds as Boulogne Metropolitans beat Unicaja Malaga 90 – 80 at home to register its fourth win in a row in EuroCup.

Brown also drained the 3-pointer that put his team up by 10 with two seconds remaining, a basket that hands Boulogne the tiebreaking advantage in a potential tie with Malaga. The Spanish team had won 96 – 88 in the season opener.

Tomer Ginat had 13 points and Brandon Brown contributed 12 points, seven assists plus five rebounds for the winning side. Dario Brizuela led Malaga with 19 points while Tim Abromaitis scored 15 and got five rebounds.

In the other Group B game, Ratiopharm Ulm prevailed over Mornar Bar 82 – 66 behind 22 points and nine rebounds by Dylan Osetkowski plus 18 points courtesy of Isaiah Wilkins.

Jacob Pullen (16 points), Taylor Smith (15 points, 11 rebounds) and Isaiah Whitehead (15 points) were Mornar’s top scorers.

The game between Germani Brescia and Buducnost Podgorica was suspended due to multiple coronavirus cases on the latter.
