After being waived by the Golden State Warriors, Alen Smailagic inked a three-year contract with Partizan NIS, the team announced Friday.

Smailagic, 20, was selected 39th overall in the 2019 NBA draft. He since made his way to 29 NBA games attached to the Golden State Warriors and went through several G League stints at the Santa Cruz Warriors. He was waived a couple of days ago.

The Serbian forward returns to Serbia as the sixth summer addition for Partizan. He followed Dallas Moore, Zach LeDay, Rodions Kurucs, Aleksa Avramovic, and Kevin Punter in the roster of new head coach Zeljko Obradovic.

The team based in Belgrade is gearing up for the next edition of 7DAYS EuroCup and will also compete in the ABA League.
