London Lions sign Sam Dekker

The London Lions announced the addition of forward Sam Dekker for the upcoming season. Dekker is the second former NBAer the British EuroCup club signs this summer after veteran center Kostas Koufos.

Dekker, 28, will be returning to EuroCup where he had his debut overseas stint in 2019-20 with Lokomotiv Kuban. He then had a productive run with 13.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists.

Last season, Dekker played with Bahcesehir in Turkey, averaging 13.0 points and 7.0 rebounds in the FIBA Europe Cup to help the team capture the title.

Dekker, the No. 18 overall pick of 2015, began his career with the Houston Rockets. He also played with the Los Angeles Clippers and the Washington Wizards before moving to Europe in 2019.

In 2020, Dekker joined Basketball Champions League club Turk Telekom and then briefly returned to the NBA with the Toronto Raptors.
