Gregor Glas moved to Cedevita Olimpija and loaned to Mornar

Incoming player for Cedevita Olimpija in the form of Slovenia international guard, who was subsequently loaned to Mornar-Barsko zlato.

Glas, 21, transferred from Partizan Mozzart Bet to Cedevita Olimpija, the Belgrade outfit announced Wednesday. Confirming his arrival, the team based in Ljubljana additionally announced the loan assignment to the AdmiralBet ABA League team based in Bar, Montenegro.

The youngster logged 12 appearances in the 2021-22 edition of the 7DAYS EuroCup but was slowed down by an injury early in the 2022-23 season and limited to one single appearance in the ongoing Regular Season of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, his debut in Europe’s premier club continental competition. Over four games in the ABA League, he averaged 1.8 points and 0.3 assists per contest.

The Serbian powerhouse signed Glas before the 2021-22 season. Already in Belgrade since 2019, he spent the previous two seasons at Dynamic VIP PAY. Back in 2016, he emerged as a professional at Slovenia’s Koper Primorska.

In his first campaign at Partizan, he produced three points and one rebound in the ABA loss to Cedevita Olimpija at Stark Arena. On the opposite end of Mornar, he averaged 4.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per contest over two games.

A lengthy international career stretching through all the junior national teams of Slovenia expanded to the senior level through six caps in the 2019 and 2023 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers. Before moving his talents to Belgrade at the club level and participating in the 2019 FIBA U18 European championship, he made his senior debut early in the 2018-19 season.
