Jehyve Floyd joins Prometey, Venezia retains Jeff Brooks

Jehyve Floyd is a new addition for Prometey and Jeff Brooks renewed his contract with Umana Reyer Venezia.

Both 7DAYS EuroCup clubs announced the signings on Tuesday.

Floyd, 25, was limited to seven appearances through the 2022-23 season by injuries. The former Holy Cross standout tallied 7.1 points, 2.3 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 0.4 steals, and 0.3 blocks per contest for Galatasaray Nef between the Basketball Champions League and Turkiye Sigorta Basketbol Super Ligi.

Earlier professional experience stems from splitting the 2021-22 season between Fenerbahce Beko and Panathinaikos, logging 24 appearances in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. In 2020-21, he played one EuroCup game as a member of Promitheas. Other former teams are Hapoel Gilboa Galil and Larisa.

Jeff Brooks re-signs with Venezia

Brooks, 34, penned a contract extension for the 2023-24 season with the team coached by Neven Spahija. The Penn State product initially joined Venezia before the 2021-22 season.

The American-born naturalized Italian forward averaged 4.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game over 17 appearances in EuroCup last season. In Italy’s LBA Serie A UnipolSai, he put in 6.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.4 steals, and 0.3 blocks per contest.

A veteran of 124 EuroLeague games with AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milan, Unicaja, Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari, and Mapooro Cantu, he upped his total of games played in EuroCup to 71 with 36 appearances as a member of Venezia over the last two seasons. Besides the club level, he represented Italy in the 2019 FIBA World Cup and attached Qualifiers.
