Ahead of the 2026–27 season, the BKT EuroCup is seeing intense roster reconstruction as clubs solidify their squads for the upcoming continental campaign.
Leading the most recent charge of official signings, the Skyliners have made significant additions to their lineup for their Group B journey. The German side secured the services of veteran 35-year-old guard Thomas Klepeisz, who brings the valuable experience of 71 EuroCup matches accumulated over six seasons with ratiopharm Ulm. Quickly following that agreement, they retained 29-year-old Will Christmas, who previously made 16 appearances with Veolia Towers Hamburg. These two players will join Marcus Garrett and Race Thompson on a rapidly forming Frankfurt depth chart.
Meanwhile, other organizations across the field are also shoring up their ranks. In Group A, Latvian outfit Rigas Zelli announced a one-year deal with 25-year-old versatile center Isaac Johnson, who is set to begin his professional career in Riga. In Group D, Balkan Botevgrad ensured frontline stability by signing 32-year-old Nikolay Grozev to a one-year contract extension. Looking toward long-term development, PAOK focused on youth by welcoming 16-year-old Giannis Spanos and 15-year-old Giorgos Charalampidis to their junior ranks, reinforcing their developmental pipeline for the future.
However, the preseason period also brings unexpected disruptions. In Catalonia, Kids&Us Manresa parted ways with 24-year-old guard Colby Jones. Following a setback during preseason training, Jones and the management reached a mutual accord to terminate their contract before the official games began.
With more additions expected across the second tier of Euroleague Basketball, the Regular Season is set to begin on September 29.
