Zizic dominates, claims EuroCup Round 9 MVP

Ante Zizic earned EuroCup Round 9 MVP honors following a dominant performance in Besiktas GAIN Istanbul’s 101-83 home victory over Panionios Cosmorama Travel Athens.

The Besiktas center posted a career-high PIR of 36, scoring 18 points on 6-of-8 two-pointers and 6-of-9 free throws, grabbing 13 rebounds, adding 2 steals, and drawing 9 fouls. This marks Zizic’s first MVP of the Round in his career and the fifth time a Besiktas player has earned the award.

Other standout performances in Round 9 included Mitch Creek of U-BT Cluj-Napoca (PIR 35), Tarik Phillip of London Lions (PIR 32), Gach of JL Bourg-en-Bresse (PIR 30), and Giorgos Tsalmpouris of Panionios (PIR 29). Double-doubles were recorded by Zizic, Phillip, Hugo Benitez, and Alex Reyes, while Balsa Koprivica led the round with six blocks.
