After unveiling the members of the competition’s First Team and the winner of the Coach of the Year award, BKT EuroCup has announced the winner of the biggest individual recognition of the 2025-26 season: the MVP.
And the winner is the same player of last season, as Jared Harper makes history as the only two-time MVP of the competition.
BKT EuroCup official statement: “The BKT EuroCup is pleased to announce that Jared Harper of Hapoel Midtown Jerusalem has been named the 2025-26 BKT EuroCup Most Valuable Player. With another dominant campaign defined by consistency, leadership and elite all-around production, Harper made history as the first player ever to win the award twice.
The MVP was selected through a vote conducted among EuroCup head coaches (35%), team captains (35%), media representatives (20%) and fans (10%). The BKT EuroCup congratulates Harper on a landmark achievement and another outstanding season at the highest level of the competition.
Harper once again stood at the center of Jerusalem’s success, leading the club to the best regular season record in the league at 13-5. The dynamic guard finished the regular season second in scoring at 19.5 points per game while ranking second in Performance Index Rating with 22.2, underscoring his nightly impact on both ends of the floor.
No player matched Harper’s consistency. He was the only competitor to score in double figures in every regular season game, highlighted by a season-high 30-point performance in Round 17 against U-BT Cluj-Napoca. His ability to control games late and apply constant pressure to opposing defenses made him one of the most difficult players to contain throughout the season.
Harper’s aggressive style once again translated into trips to the free-throw line. He led the EuroCup in both free throws made (7.8 per game) and free throws attempted (9.0 per game), while ranking second in fouls drawn at 6.6 per outing. At the same time, he remained a primary creator for his teammates, finishing fifth in assists with 5.2 per game.
Beyond scoring and playmaking, Harper contributed across the stat sheet. He placed 11th in steals at 1.3 per game, narrowly missing the top 10, and consistently dictated tempo at both ends of the court.
His individual excellence was also reflected in weekly accolades. Harper was the only player to earn MVP of the Round honors three times this season, doing so in Round 5 with a PIR of 36, in Round 6 with a PIR of 37, and again in Round 17 after posting a PIR of 33.
By claiming his second BKT EuroCup MVP trophy, Harper further cements his place in the competition’s history. His sustained excellence, unmatched durability and decisive influence for Jerusalem have defined an era for the club and marked one of the great individual runs in the EuroCup.”
