PAOK officially announces the arrival of a EuroLeague veteran for their new project next season.
The Greek club, which reached the FIBA Europe Cup final (losing to Surne Bilbao), revealed on their social media that Nick Calathes, formerly of Partizan, Monaco, Barcelona, and Panathinaikos, among others, has joined them.
After playing for Partizan, Nick Calathes will be under Trinchieri’s command. Calathes, 37, joins Marcus Foster, Trevor Hudgins, and Raiquan Gray as new additions to the BKT Eurocup roster. PAOK is among the teams announced by the BKT Eurocup with a five-year license in the new format of the second-tier European competition.
This will be Calathes’ third stint playing in Greece, following his first spell with Panathinaikos (2009-2012) and a return to the Greens (2015-2020). He won the EuroLeague title with Panathinaikos in 2011.
