The 2026–27 BKT EuroCup field is taking shape as ambitious contenders secure vital pieces for the grueling campaign ahead.
In Podgorica, Buducnost VOLI made a strategic splash by weakening a direct domestic rival and adding local grit to their roster. Montenegrin national team forward Emir Hadzibegovic agreed to a two-year contract, making the short cross-town switch from SC Derby. A newcomer to the second tier of Euroleague Basketball, the physical forward brings proven experience and familiarity with the AdmiralBet ABA League atmosphere. He accompanies scoring threat Iverson Molinar, alongside established cornerstones Yogi Ferrell, Fletcher Magee, Axel Bouteille, and Jerry Boutsiele, reinforcing a formidable roster.
In Thessaloniki, Aris Betsson secured a meaningful homecoming by keeping Giorgos Tanoulis. The native forward-center returns as a free agent after spending the 2025–26 season on Aris’ injury list while on loan from Olympiacos, following major knee surgery for an injury sustained in a preseason friendly. The 23-year-old Greek international is now completing his rehabilitation. He aims to protect the paint inside the historic Nick Galis Hall.
In Istanbul, Bahcesehir Koleji opted for internal stability by ensuring backup center Furkan Haltali returns for another year. The Turkiye national team representative proved instrumental during extended continental and domestic runs last season. His retention raises the tally of returning core players to seven, joining standout figures Trevion Williams, Kenan Sipahi, Tyler Cavanaugh, Mateusz Ponitka, Malachi Flynn, and Ismet Akpinar.
Further north, Lietkabelis focused on nurturing prospective talent by executing a long-term contract extension with playmaker Nojus Radzius. Following two EuroCup cameos last season, the 21-year-old guard committed to two additional seasons with a further option.
