Breein Tyree will stay at PAOK for a second consecutive season

Breein Tyree will wear the PAOK jersey for the second consecutive season and states he is eager for it.

The Thessaloniki team announced the agreement between the two sides, as 28-year-old American guard joined the “black and whites” on December 10, 2025.

PAOK published a video on their Twitter page, with Tyree commenting: “I am happy to have another opportunity to contribute significantly and finish the job this season. PAOK is my priority right now. I pray for everyone’s health on the court. So, are you ready for the second season?“.

In this season’s Stoiximan GBL, Tyree averaged 16 points (80% free throws, 53.3% two-pointers, 33.6% three-pointers), 3 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game, while in the FIBA Europe Cup he had 17.9 points (75% free throws, 52.1% two-pointers, 39.1% three-pointers), 3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game.

The talented guard, who joined our team in early December 2025, quickly showed his leadership qualities and played a very important role in PAOK’s journey last season. His presence in the roster for the new season significantly upgrades the guard line and adds even more quality to our team.

Breein Tyree made his debut with the PAOK jersey on December 14, 2025, in the away victory (87-97) over Maroussi, where he scored 16 points.

He played a total of 32 games in all competitions (GBL, Cup, and FIBA Europe Cup) with PAOK. He averaged 16.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.2 steals with 78.5% in free throws, 53.6% in two-pointers, and 35.4% in three-pointers.

Breein Tyree was born on January 13, 1998, in Metuchen, New Jersey, is 1.88 meters tall, and plays as a guard. He played at Ole Miss University and graduated after a full four-year tenure (2016-2020). He played 130 games in the NCAA, averaging 13.8 points in his career with Ole Miss, while in the 2019-20 season, which was his best, he averaged 19.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in 31 games he played.

He began his professional career in the G League, where he played for two seasons with the Raptors 905, the affiliate team of the Toronto Raptors. In the summer of 2022, he played in the Dominican Republic with Indios de San Francisco de Macoris, averaging 20.2 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 3.2 assists, leading his team to a 12-7 record.

In the 2022-23 season, he played for the first time in Europe with Filou Oostende. In his first game, he scored 35 points and led his team to win the Belgian Super Cup. He also won the championship in an excellent season, with 14.8 points, 2 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in 33 league games, while in 9 BCL games he averaged 17.5 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.9 assists.

He then had a season (2023-24) in Italy with Sassari. In 24 league games, he averaged 13.9 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists, while in 9 BCL games he had 16.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 3.8 assists.

During the 2024-25 season, he played in Turkey with Petkim and faced PAOK in the BCL qualifiers. He scored 12 points in the Turkish team’s victory (79-69) over PAOK, with which they qualified for the BCL group stage, and in 15 games in the competition, he averaged 15 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 3.2 assists. In the Turkish championship, he played 29 games, averaging 14 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 3.9 assists.

At the start of the 2025-26 season, he played with Igokea, where he managed to play in 5 Adriatic League games (16 points, 1 rebound, and 2.6 assists on average), while in 5 BCL games, he had 17.4 points, 2 rebounds, and 4.6 assists.”
