Several BKT EuroCup contenders announced major roster moves ahead of the 2026–27 season.
Highlighting the latest offseason action between Thursday and Friday, Hapoel Midtown Jerusalem secured the services of 25-year-old David Roddy. The 1.96-meter forward, drafted 23rd overall in 2022, will play overseas for the first time in his career after 181 NBA appearances. This marquee acquisition bolsters an ambitious roster already amplified this summer by the signings of Devontae Cacok and Jaleen Smith, the re-signing of back-to-back MVP Jared Harper, and the hiring of elite head coach Sasa Obradovic.
Meanwhile, Aris solidified its backcourt by confirming the return of 30-year-old guard Vassilis Toliopoulos on a four-year contract. The Greek side, led by head coach Vassilis Spanoulis, has put together an impressive offseason, adding Toliopoulos to an already star-studded newcomer list that includes Kostas Antetokounmpo, Khem Birch, Neno Dimitrijevic, Stefan Jovic, E.J. Liddell, Matt Morgan, and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl.
Recoletas San Pablo Burgos reinforced its frontcourt by tabbing 31-year-old center Christian Sengfelder. The EuroBasket 2022 bronze medalist with Germany joins Porfi Fisac’s squad after averaging 10.2 points in his EuroCup debut with ratiopharm Ulm last season, arriving alongside summer additions Vlatko Cancar, Retin Obasohan, Ziga Samar, and the recently extended Pablo Almazan.
In Italy, Umana Reyer Venice announced a one-year extension for 31-year-old Giga Janelidze, following previous renewals for Leo Candi, Amedeo Tessitori, Jordan Parks, and Kyle Wiltjer, while welcoming fresh faces Octavio Maretto, Enoch Boakye, Sasha Grant, Glynn Watson Jr., and Sir’Jabari Rice.
Elsewhere, Slask Wroclaw made its first international move by welcoming 26-year-old Malik Parsons, and Kids&Us Manresa secured 21-year-old guard Rafa Villar on a two-year contract, bringing in 28 games of EuroLeague experience, including last season’s 27 with Kosner Baskonia.
Finally, tactical leadership shifted in Bulgaria, where 41-year-old Bogdan Karaicic took the reins as the new head coach of Balkan Botevgrad.
