Galatasaray is close to signing American swingman Henry Walker with a contract for the remainder of the season, according to Eurohoops sources.
The Turkish club is aiming to complete the deal with the 30-year-old player before January 2, the day which marks the deadline for EuroCup transfers. While the “Cimbom” were looking for a big guy, coach Erman Kunter’s goal is to use Walker in the power forward position.
Walker’s previous experience in European basketball includes a EuroLeague stint in 2015-2016 with Cedevita during which he averaged 5.2 points and 2.3 rebounds in 14 minutes per game over a span of 16 matches.
Throughout his career, Walker has played for such teams as Miami Heat, Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks.
