Montenegrin League champion Mornar Bar added depth to its backcourt by signing point guard Nikola Rebic to a one-year deal, the club announced Tuesday. Rebic (1.88 meters, 23 years old) last played with Bilbao Basket of Spain, where in limited minutes averaged 1.8 points per game last spring. First part of the last season Rebic played with Mega Bemax of his native Serbia, where he averaged 12.9 points, 5.2 assists, and 2.8 rebounds in 20 Adriatic League games. Rebic is a product of Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade, where he played in youth categories. After making a professional debut with Radnicki Belgrade, he played three seasons for Zvezda. That is where he made his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and 7DAYS EuroCup debuts in the 2013-14 season. He has made a total of two EuroCup appearances that season, and still waits to score his first points. He will have a chance to do so with Mornar this season.
