Mike Tobey had a near-perfect night pushing Valencia to a 71-56 road win over Rytas Vilnius and 2-0 in the EuroCup quarterfinal series. With this, the Spaniards advanced to the semifinals for the eighth time.
Tobey banked 18 points while shooting 8-9 from the field and grabbed seven rebounds along the way. Fernando San Emeterio scored 11 points.
For Rytas, Martynas Echodas scored 11 while Artsiom Parkhouski and Eimantas Bendzius added ten each.
Although Rytas managed to recover from a slow start (20-14) and go ahead 39-33 before halftime rest, they couldn’t keep the intensity. Valencia turned the tables and was in front by nine points (57-48) in front of the final period which also belonged to them on their way to a convincing win.
