Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv has turned its attention to Amar’e Stoudemire, per Israeli outlet Walla.

With several players sidelined, the EuroLeague participant is looking into the market for multiple reinforcements. The 37-year-old American-Israeli big seems to be in the list of potential additions.

Stoudemire is a free agent following his short tenure in China’s CBA with the Fujian Sturgeons. The former NBA and Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem player may evolve into a much-needed injury relief for Giannis Sfairopoulos’ squad.

After playing over 900 NBA games, the veteran forward/center made his way to Israel for a couple of stints with Hapoel Jerusalem and tipped off his 2019-20 campaign in China. Averaged 19.4 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per CBA appearance before departing.

The report adds that Hapoel Mall Hayam Eilat’s captain Avi Ben-Chimol and Gilboa Galil’s Yiftach Ziv are included in the list of players that might come in for the perimeter.

Omri Casspi, Yovel Zoosman, John DiBartolomeo, Nate Wolters and Tarik Black are all out for Maccabi. The team coached by Sfairopoulos is going through injury woes sitting in third place of EuroLeague with a 14-6 record and remaining undefeated after 15 Super League matches.
