Timofey Mozgov has left for Munich in order for his knee injury progress to be further evaluated with hopes for him to make his season debut soon. Mozgov, 32, joined Khimki last summer but has yet to play a single game after his nine-year presence in the NBA.

“We hope that the doctors will give a “green light” so that he starts training with the rest of the team”, Mozgov’s agent told Izvestia.

The last time the Russian big man entered the court was on July 2, 2018, in FIBA World Cup qualifiers game vs. France. Adding up to that, Mozgov will reportedly not receive any pay by Khimki unless he gets to play.

On the Russian club’s big men injury woes, coach Rimas Kurtinaitis told Izvestia that Anthony Gill could make his return to action, while Jeremy Evans can get back to training with the rest of the team in three weeks.
