Valencia tabbed Derrick Williams for the 2020-21 season, the Spanish club announced on Wednesday.

The Arizona alumni became a free agent after concluding his run with Fenerbahce Beko. He was close to a deal with Khimki Moscow Region in early June but opted to remain on the market and ended up in Spain.

The Oranges will be his third Turkish Airlines EuroLeague side after Fener and FC Bayern Munich he joined for the 2018-19 season. He previously spent seven seasons in the NBA playing in 436 games between six teams and one season in China’s CBA.

The noted dunker has become extremely comfortable adjusting to European basketball the past couple of years in the continent’s premier club competition. Last season, he averaged 11.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1.1 steals per EuroLeague match.

Similar to EuroLeague, the 2019-20 BSL campaign ended prematurely due to the coronavirus pandemic. Williams appeared in 17 games prior to the decision to halt the action posting 10.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per contest.
