Efes signs Simon to one-plus-one extension

Anadolu Efes announced that the team signed guard/forward Krunoslav Simon to a 1+1 contract extension. The Croatian player’s current contract with the team was set to expire in 2021.

Simon has been with Efes since 2017. In 2019-2020, he averaged 8.9 points (shooting 44 percent on 84 3-point attempts), 3.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 23:17 minutes over 27 games in EuroLeague while notching 11.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 23.6 minutes over 12 matches of the Turkish BSL League. Efes was the top-placed teams in both competitions before their cancelation.

So far in offseason, Efes has kept forward Chris Singleton, center Tibor Pleiss, swingman James Anderson, guard Rodrigue Beaubois, center Sertac Sanli and guard Bugrahan Tuncer. Coach Ergin Ataman has said that the team is planning to keep all its core players, including star Shane Larkin.
