Following a couple of seasons at AX Armani Exchange Milano, Nemanja Nedovic sees an opportunity for a fresh start through his new team, Panathinaikos OPAP. As one of the top summer additions for the Greens, Nedovic talked to Eurohoops about his goals and new-look Panathinaikos.

“Healthy, I can achieve anything,” he mentioned prompting his wish for a clear path throughout the 2020-21 season, “I can compete at the top level and I have proven as much, especially with Malaga and even starting with Milano.”

The training camp was launched on Tuesday but Nedovic arrived in Greece earlier aiming to gain a head start moving towards the next season.

“I feel great,” he said, “I am excited to be here and believe I was right arriving a couple of days prior to the start of the training camp, so I can get back in rhythm and adjust to my new life in Athens.”

Panathinaikos might be rebuilding but remains a strong Turkish Airlines EuroLeague side, the Serbian guard explains.

“Our team is packed with quality and most importantly we are all motivated to succeed,” he pointed out sharing his first view on his team, “We want to prove that Panathinaikos belongs at the highest EuroLeague level.”

Focusing on a fresh start, Nedovic relays his decision to join the Greek powerhouse.

“I was looking to feel comfortable and contribute as much as possible,” he recalled, “I feel important here. Coach Giorgos Vovoras talked to me explaining that my role will be key for the team.”

“Panathinaikos will be different this year because we will not revolve around one single player like previous years,” he added, “We have many weapons, especially in the offense. We have excellent point guards to create. We all have to step forward to meet ambitions.”
