Nikola Milutinov underwent successful shoulder surgery in Greece

Nikola Milutinov, with CSKA Moscow’s agreement, went to Greece where he underwent successful shoulder surgery.

Doctors Dimitris Alexakis (director of Orthopedic clinic, front left on the picture) and Savvas Vasilopoulos (behind the player, in the middle) performed the surgery which went perfectly and agent George Panou (Octagon Europe, between the two doctors) was accompanying Milutinov during his stay.

The Serbian center will now go back to his home country and continue his rehab in Belgrade. His first re-evaluation will be done in around a month and he will have to do them on a regular basis. The recovery is expected to last by the end of June or early July with the 26-year-old being completely back, at 100%, to continue where he left off.

Milutinov suffered the injury on January 30 in the EuroLeague clash against Bayern Munich. He got injured near the end of teh first half but decided to come back into the game later on and help CSKA. MRI revealed muscle injury after the match.

The MVP for the month of December has been having a solid first year with CSKA, averaging 9.8 points and a career-high 8.6 rebounds in 23 minutes. He also set a new EuroLeague all-time record with 16 offensive rebounds in his best game this season, against Olimpia Milano.
