Zalgiris Kaunas takes a step forward and launches its first loyalty program for its fans, through creating the “Zalgiris Insider” platform, through which fans can interact with their favorite team and engage with the organization and what happens behind the scenes.

Per the press release:

Uniting a number of fans in Lithuania and beyond, Zalgiris Kaunas presents a novel feature for the team’s loyal fans – the club has just launched the Zalgiris Insider content platform.

Zalgiris director Paulius Motiejunas explained how the Zalgiris Insider platform came to be. “The idea about a paid content platform was born back during the first quarantine, and we started laying down the framework at the end of last year. We would receive a number of terrific ideas from our fans who offered to directly support the team. However, we don’t want to just ask for financial support. Our goal is to provide a valuable service to our fans that would allow them to easily add to the club’s well-being. It’s important that this project would not be short-term, and would remain relevant even when life returns to normality. So from now on, the Zalgiris Insider subscribers will not only be able to have a financial input to the team’s budget, but will also see unique content that will bring them much closer to what’s going on with the green-and-whites.”

The Zalgiris Insider platform will provide videos from Zalgiris’ players’ daily lives, conversations with former green-and-whites and EuroLeague stars, coaches’ analysis before the game, analytical texts, player blogs, discussions between one another and a chance to ask questions to the players and management.

The virtual activities before EuroLeague games in Zalgirio Arena will also move to the Zalgiris Insider program, and every second Sunday the subscribers will have a chance to compete in a real-time pub quiz and win prizes.

Subscribers will also find easy access to the usual Zalgiris TV content, and will not need to go back and forth between different channels. Also, unlike on YouTube, all the videos will be advertisement-free.

The Zalgiris Honor Club members have been testing the platform for the past two weeks and have helped improve it with their feedback and suggestions. The platform will continue to be improved with additional functionality, with gamification principles to be added in the future. A whopping 79% of the Honor Club members admitted they would recommend the platform to their friends.
The Zalgiris Insider subscription comes in two forms: the Starting Five plan (priced at 2,99 Eur) and MVP plan (7,99 Eur), and is already available on the Zalgiris app or online on the Zalgiris.lt website.
