As has been the practice so far yearly, the VTB League announced the budgets of teams from the previous season (2020-21). The league gave the numbers in rubles while the numbers below are in euros, according to today’s exchange rate.

It didn’t come as a surprise that CSKA tops the list with 31.46 million euros and that is almost a five million increase compared to the 2019-20 season. Zenit followed with 22.46 million while Khimki had 19.53 million.

Khimki’s financial trouble should also be noted which led to the team parting ways with several players and eventually led to them not playing in the VTB this upcoming campaign. Two more teams were above ten million – Lokomotiv with 14.62 million and UNICS with 12.05 million.

The list of nine clubs is as follows:

CSKA: 31.46 M
Zenit: 22.46 M
Khimki: 19.53 M
Lokomotiv: 14.62 M
UNICS: 12.05 M
Parma: 4.02 M
Nizhny: 3.22 M
Enisey: 2.30 M
Avtodor: 2.14 M
