Yogi Ferrell: I came here to win the Euroleague

The most recent addition of Panathinaikos OPAP, Yogi Ferrell, has arrived in Athens, Greece where he was welcomed by the reporters to whom he shared the reasons for joining the Greens.

“I knew about this wonderful city, its history and I wanted to be a member of it. I talked to my agent and decided to sign here. I knew that Panathinaikos is a high-level team. And the Euroleague is the top league in Europe and that’s why I wanted to come. I will do whatever the team needs. I will score, I will pass, I will play defense. Everything you need to win and win titles. I came here to win the Euroleague. Wherever I play, I want to win and win titles,” he said and added.

“I want to bring my passion. I play very passionately on the floor but also smartly. Being in the NBA and playing against great players, I can bring my experience and knowledge about the game.”

Ferrell also said that he hasn’t been in contact with Thanasis Antetokounmpo but he did hear from some guys he knows that Euroleague is a top team. He also mentioned coach Dimitris Priftis.

“He welcomed me and sent me some videos. I have always been a leader and I want to set the right example. I will play as hard and as close to my potential as possible.”
