Nando De Colo climbed to first place in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague all-time list with the highest performance index rating on Thursday.
De Colo, 34, passed recently-retired Vassilis Spanoulis making it to 4,184 PIR as Fenerbahce Beko defeated AS Monaco in Regular Season Round 13. The Greek legend ended his career at 4,183.
The French guard set the new record in his 237th EuroLeague appearance. He posted 14 PIR powered by 15 points, including six points in the fourth quarter in the home win against La Roca Team.
His run is split between three teams. At Valencia, he earned 156 PIR and went on with 2,867 PIR through his five years at CSKA Moscow highlighted by two EuroLeague championships. The remaining 1,161 PIR are a result of his ongoing stint at Fener.
On the all-time PIR list, Paulius Jankunas ranks third packing 4,009 PIR. A couple more legends of Europe’s premier club continental competition, Juan Carlos Navarro and Dimitris Diamantidis close out the top five with 3,890 and 3,806, respectively.
Besides helping CSKA go all the way in 2016 and 2019, the new all-time PIR leader was named season MVP, Final Four MVP, and Alphonso Ford EuroLeague Top Scorer in 2016. He also became a member of the 2010-20 EuroLeague All-Decade Team.
Back in 2012-13 and 2013-14, De Colo went on a break from the EuroLeague to record 125 games played in the NBA with the San Antonio Spurs and Toronto Raptors.
