Panathinaikos guard Neoklis Avdalas made history on Friday’s 82-67 victory against ALBA Berlin by becoming the youngest-ever scorer in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.

Avdalas, who began his pro career with the Greens this season, scored his first basket with 16 seconds remaining in the game at 15 years, 10 months, and 6 days of age, to break a record held for nearly two decades by former Georgian player Manuchar Markoishvili. When he was 15 years, 11 months and seven days old, Markoishvili had scored two points in a game of his Benetton Treviso vs. ALBA Berlin in 24 October 2002.

Fedor Zugic still holds the record for the youngest debutant in the competition, as he made his own aged 15 years and 157 days.
