Gabriel Deck returns to Real Madrid following his short stint with the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Spanish club announced Wednesday. Deck has signed a long-term deal with Real, running through June 30, 2024.

Pablo Laso confirmed the move a couple of days prior, and only the official announcement was pending.

Deck participated in 17 NBA contests between the 2020-21 and 2021-22 season, while posting an average of 6.0 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 15.8 minutes per game. He also averaged 11.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.3 blocks per game in Tokyo’s Olympics this past summer.

The Argentine forward first landed in Madrid in 2018 and moved to the Oklahoma City Thunder in April 2021. He was waived by the Thunder early this January and will now make his return to the Spanish Liga Endesa and the EuroLeague.

Per Real Madrid’s announcement:

“Real Madrid CF reached an agreement with Gabriel Deck, a forward from the Oklahoma City Thunder. The player is linked to the club for this season and the next two, until June 30, 2024.”
