CSKA Moscow announced that Allerik Freeman has penned a deal with the club until the end of this season which will come into force after a medical examination.

“Freeman will add attacking prowess to our team, he has the ability to create space and distance from the opposition by being willing to go under the basket or shoot from a distance, he can create opportunities for himself and for teammates. Allerik is at a good age, he has experience of playing in the Euroleague for Asvel,” coach Dimitris Itoudis said and added.

“Obviously, he understands that he comes to a team with a lot of good players, healthy competition will help us. In addition, in an uncertain situation, when many players and coaches are sick, a longer bench is needed. Now everything depends on him and on us; we all, teammates and coaches, need to help him adapt quickly.”

Allerik Freeman expressed his excitement about joining a big club like CSKA.

“I am happy and very glad to become a part of CSKA! To be able to wear the CSKA uniform and play for one of the most historic clubs is an honor! Ready to help the team in any way I can.”

Freeman led all Bursaspor scorers with 19.6 points per EuroCup game, while his numbers rose to 20.6 points per contest in the Turkish league. He returns to EuroLeague after last playing in the competition with LDLC ASVEL in 2020-21, when he averaged 7.4 points in 20 minutes per game.
