Just four days before the end of the EuroLeague transfers deadline, Kevin Pangos is waived by the Cleveland Cavaliers per Hoopshype’s Mike Scotto and he is Moscow-bound.

When the Canadian point guard clears waivers, there’s a deal in place waiting between him and CSKA Moscow.

As mentioned in the previous report, the two sides are close to reaching an agreement on a $6M contract which will last through the end of the 2023-24 season.

Pangos, who made his NBA debut with the Cleveland Cavaliers this season, averaged 1.7 points and 1.3 assists across just 7 minutes on the court before being assigned to the Cavs’ G-League affiliate Cleveland Charge.

An All-EuroLeague First team member with Zenit, the 29-year-old guard will return to the competition for his fifth campaign.

With Pangos onboard, CSKA is looking to make a push into the EuroLeague standings (currently holds a 14-9 record) ahead of the playoffs and improve its VTB League placement (9-4 record, fourth overall).
