Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv is quite active on the transfers market from the beginning of the offseason, with the additions of head coach Oded Kattash, Alex Poythress, Bonzie Colson, and Guy Pnini.

Now the club is targeting former UNICS shooting guard Lorenzo Brown, and according to a report by SportsTV’s Levent Yavuz, the two sides are close to reaching a deal.

Brown, 31, ended his 2021-22 campaign with an average of 13.2 points, 4.7 assists, and 3.4 rebounds across 11 VTB League contests. Brown also appeared in 24 EuroLeague games this past season, with averages of 13.8 points, 6.1 assists, and 3.6 rebounds.

Having gained experience in the NBA with the Philadelphia 76ers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Phoenix Suns, and Toronto Raptors, Brown landed in Europe for the first time in 2019-20, joining Crvena Zvezda.

The following year he penned a deal with Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul and moved to Kazan in the 2021-22 offseason. If the move is completed, this will be his first-ever experience in the Israeli Winner League.
