Achille Polonara is finalizing a 1+1-year deal with back-to-back EuroLeague champions Anadolu Efes which is expected to become official in the coming days, according to Eurohoops sources.

The arrival of Dimitris Itoudis in Fenerbahce signified the end of the Italian player’s stint in the club, as he’s not considered in the Greek coach’s plans for next season. Fenerbahce is expected to receive a buy-out for Polonara once the agreement is in place.

The Italian big posted averages of 7.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 30 EuroLeague games during his third campaign in the competition.

He had previously spent two seasons with Baskonia, which was also his first experience outside of his native, Italy. Polonara began his career with BT Teramo in 2009, before moving to Varese in 2012 and Reggio Emilia in 2014.
