Euroleague Basketball has officially confirmed that the 2026 SuperCup in Abu Dhabi will take place as originally planned on October 18 and 19.
The organization issued a statement following reports published by several European media outlets suggesting that there could be changes to the upcoming competition.
In its statement, Euroleague Basketball emphasized its commitment to making the SuperCup an important new event on the European basketball calendar.
The organization said it remains focused on “delivering the best of European basketball through this new competition and to providing an outstanding experience for teams, players and fans”.
The announcement is intended to provide certainty for all parties involved following the recent reports circulating across European media.
With the dates of October 18 and 19 confirmed, preparations for the inaugural 2026 Euroleague Basketball SuperCup Abu Dhabi will continue according to the existing plans.
