Baskonia acquires big man Maik Kotsar

Baskonia signed center Maik Kotsar to a two-year deal, the club announced. Kotsar will make his EuroLeague debut next season after playing in EuroCup last year with Hamburg Towers.

In 16 EuroCup games, Kotsar averaged 13.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.1 steals. The 25-year-old Estonian big man had 14.2 points and 7.6 rebounds over 34 matches of the German BBL League.

Before he began his professional career in 2011 with Estonian club Audentes, Kotsar played college basketball with the North Carolina Gamecocks from 2016 to 2020. He went undrafted in the 2020 NBA Draft.
