After adding a lot of new elements during the summer transfer market, Maccabi Tel Aviv doesn’t stop and acquired Jalen Adams to reinforce its rotation. After Darrun Hilliard’s injury that could force him to miss one month of action, the American guard signed a three-month contract with the Israeli powerhouse. Meanwhile, Austin Hollins may be in danger of being released.

The 26-year-old explosive combo guard is coming off a great season with Hapoel Jerusalem. In the 2021-22 Basketball Champions League, the Connecticut Huskies’ product averaged 17.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.3 steals per game, shooting 40% from the arc.

Undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft, he was first acquired by the New Orleans Pelicans, averaging 19 points per game with the Birmingham Squadron in the G-League, and then he moved to Châlons-Reims for his first European experience.

“Jalen Adams has very good and well-known offensive abilities. There is a situation where we need another creative guard for the rotation and he will be able to help us. I am happy that he is joining Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv”, coach Oded Kattash said about his new player.
