Despite a situation far from ideal, EA7 Emporio Armani Milan salvaged three wins from the first six outings of the 2022-23 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season. Head coach Ettore Messina has been forced to deal with multiple players on the injury list.

Billy Baron is the latest example of misfortunes. Following the Regular Season Round 6 game against Real Madrid, the Italian club announced he will be out for at least two weeks.

Per the press release: “During the EuroLeague match against Real Madrid, Billy Baron sustained a hamstring injury in his left thigh which will be re-evaluated in two weeks.”

Baron, 32, produced six points, two rebounds, and one steal over 20 minutes in the losing effort. Packing 9.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 0.5 steals per contest make out the first part of his fourth campaign in the top European club continental competition. In the last three seasons, he played 62 games with Zenit and 26 with Crvena Zvezda mts.

Recovering from a leg injury, Naz Mitrou-Long finally made his Olimpia Milano debut last night. However, Shavon Shields (left foot) and Tommaso Baldasso (right ankle) have yet to be cleared. From monitoring the market and considering possible additions to yet another injury setback in Baron.

Shifting into Regular Season Round 6 of Italy’s LBA Serie A, Messina’s side will visit Carpegna Prosciutto Pesaro aiming to jump to 5-1 Sunday. Up next is the EuroLeague battle of Italian clubs, namely the Round 7 fixture opposite Virtus Segafredo Bologna at Mediolanum Forum Wednesday.
