Jasikevicius: “Kuric and Mirotic are coming back, but it will not be easy”

Good news for Barcelona, as the return of Kyle Kuric and Nikola Mirotic is nearing.

Coach Sarunas Jasikevicius is excited but states that it will take time for the duo to regain needed shape.

Kuric and Mirotic, coming back is great news, although the return will not be easy. They don’t have a competitive rhythm and they will need an adaptation process, but sometimes you have to take a step back to take one forward for the future,” Jasikevicius said.

Mirotic started working with the team last Saturday, after recovering from an Achilles tendon injury in his left leg. The MVP of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague could make his first appearance of the season this week.

Kyle Kuric also recently resumed working. He suffered a head injury in early October and was also dealing with shoulder discomfort. He has yet to be cleared for game action, but according to Jasikevicius, he’ll be back on the court in no time.

Still out with an injury is Sergi Martinez, who is in early recovery from surgery in his left knee, and should be out for at least three months.

Barca will host Partizan Mozzart Bet in Round 9 of the EuroLeague, and two days later Cazoo Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz in Round 10.
