Players and coaches pay tribute to new Euroleague Legend Nikola Vujcic

Added to the elusive pack of Euroleague Basketball Legends, Nikola Vujcic also hears from some of those closest to him in a video shared on YouTube by Euroleague Basketball.

He was welcomed by Euroleague Basketball chairman Dejan Bodiroga before the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season Round 12 affair slating Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv against Valencia Menora Mivtachim Arena Thursday.

Deni Avdija, Anthony Parker, Kostas Papanikolaou, Derrick Sharp, Milos Teodosic, Sarunas Jasikevicius, Yotam Halperin, Omri Casspi, David Blatt, and Shimon Mizrahi all pay tribute to Vujcic on the occasion of officially becoming a Euroleague Basketball Legend.

Vujcic, 44, went from winning back-to-back EuroLeague championships with Maccabi and being named in five All-EuroLeague teams to an excellent executive career taking over as sporting director of the Yellows in 2014. But recently announced his decision to leave the Yellows at the end of the 2022-23 season, rumored to be heading to a possible expansion team in Dubai.

He joined Theo Papaloukas, Juan Carlos Navarro, Ramunas Siskauskas, Sarunas Jasikevicius, Dimitris Diamantidis, Mirsad Turkcan, Felipe Reyes, and Vassilis Spanoulis in the club of Legends.
