An early ending to the debut season in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague for Parker Jackson-Cartwright.

Jackson-Cartwright, 27, parted ways with LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne upon mutual agreement, the team announced Wednesday evening. He is expected to join Besiktas Emlakjet as the next midseason addition to the squad guided by Igor Milicic following Isaiah Whitehead and Michal Sokolowski.

The former Arizona standout switched to the EuroLeague outfit in July. Making his way to 15 games, including six starts, he tallied 5.4 points, 2.2 assists, 2.1 rebounds, and 0.8 steals per contest in Europe’s top-tier club continental competition. At the domestic level, his first experience in France’s Betclic Elite LNB Pro A amounted to 9.2 points, 4.6 assists, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per contest over 14 appearances.

The first European stops, Jackson-Cartwright played in the British Basketball League and France’s second division producing respective season MVP distinctions. Breaking out further, he was also named season MVP of Germany’s easyCredit BBL as a member of Telekom Baskets Bonn in 2021-22.

Dee Bost, a recent signing for the team coached by T.J. Parker, is likely to pick up the playing time of the departing point guard. Sitting at the bottom of the EuroLeague standings with a 6-13 record being four wins outside the Playoffs Zone, ASVEL will be looking for a strong run down the stretch of the Regular Season. At 9-8 in France’s top-flight division, the team based in a suburb of Lyon narrowly fits in the top eight and trails leading AS Monaco by five games.
