As officially announced by Maccabi Tel Aviv, Roman Sorkin has extended his contract with the Israeli powerhouse until 2025.

Sorkin, who joined the team in 2021 after three years with Maccabi Haifa and college experience in Oregon, has nothing but good words after renewing his contract. “I am very happy to sign for two more years in a club that has become my home. I feel like we are all one big family. Our mutual goal is to earn achievements and make our fans happy. We have goals and we are just in the middle of the season, and all I want right now is to work toward winning and earning trophies”, he said.

Shimon Mizrahi, Maccabi Tel Aviv’s chairman, followed: “Signing Roman Sorkin for two additional years beyond this one serves as a statement for our club’s long-term dedication. Roman will be one of the team’s anchors and one of our goals is to preserve the current roster and its continuity as much as possible. We are very happy and we congratulate Roman, who is certainly in an upward scale. I am sure he will keep this way”.

Also, as reported by Moshe Barda, the contract extension includes an NBA out clause. The Israeli big man is averaging 7 points and 3.4 rebounds per game while shooting 65.3% from two coming off the bench in the EuroLeague.
