Olimpia Milano has successfully extended Kyle Hines’ contract, ensuring that the EuroLeague legend will continue competing in the top continental competition. The Italian club announced the agreement, securing the experienced center until 2024.

Hines joined Olimpia Milano in 2020 after his stint with CSKA Moscow, and during his three years in Milan, he won two Italian championships (2022 and 2023), two Italian Cups (2021 and 2022), and one Super Cup (2020). Hines also played a crucial role in helping the team reach the Final Four in 2021.

Olimpia’s general manager, Christos Stavropoulos, emphasized Hines’ importance to the team, stating, “Kyle is an important part of our family, a person who has allowed us to build the moral and technical foundations of our team. Those values are meaningful beyond any win.

At 36 years old, Hines became the fourth player in Olimpia’s history to exceed 100 EuroLeague appearances. Furthermore, he holds the record for the most two-point field goals made by a player in the club’s EuroLeague history.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Kyle Hines remarked, “During the last few seasons, Milan has been like a second home for me and my family. I am looking forward to returning for one more season and to have the opportunity to make Olimpia fans proud by fighting for more wins and more titles to make this club bigger and bigger.”

Hines has an impressive track record, having won two EuroLeague titles with Olympiacos and two more with CSKA Moscow. He is a three-time recipient of the EuroLeague’s Best Defender award and was selected as part of the EuroLeague 2010-20 All-Decade Team.
