Kevin Punter out for two weeks after suffering injury against Crvena Zvezda

Spending 27:57 minutes on the court of the Stark Arena, Kevin Punter contributed to Partizan Belgrade’s big Belgrade derby victory against Crvena Zvezda, scoring 8 points but struggling to control the ball with 7 turnovers. Most importantly, he suffered an injury during the intense encounter in Round 5.

According to Partizan Belgrade’s official press release on its website, “The captain of the black-and-white team was hit in the knee during last night’s game, while he suffered an injury to the back of his leg on the other leg”. Moreover, “The nature of the injury is such that, according to the first checks, the black-and-white captain will be out of the team for at least two weeks”, the statement continued.

The former Milan player has been struggling at the beginning of the 2023-24 EuroLeague Regular Season in three-point shooting (3/16, 18.7%), providing 11.6 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game, as Zeljko Obradovic’s team is now 2-3 in the standings.
