Helping Virtus Bologna get to the 2nd place in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague standings with a 4-1 record, Tornike Shengelia earned his second-ever MVP of the Month in the most prestigious European competition.

After losing at home against Zalgiris Kaunas, Virtus Bologna entered a four-game winning streak where the Georgian leader never scored less than 12 points. Averaging 18.4 points (3rd in the EuroLeague), 4.8 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game, he produced a 23.6 PIR average (2nd in the whole competition).

Moreover, he has been shooting with excellent percentages both from the field – 75.0% from two-point range and 52.9% from beyond the arc – and at the charity stripe, with 85.0% at the line. His best game of the season came in Round 3, beating ALBA Berlin at home with a 26-point effort while shooting 8/9 from two and 7/8 at the line, receiving the MVP of the Round Award.
