Panathinaikos Athens has already made offers to two of the most important players of Real Madrid, according to Marca: Center Edy Tavares and forward Mario Hezonja.

Regarding Tavares, Marca says that the big man wants to see that he wants to be a recognition of the kind of player he is that will be reflected on his salary. The 2023 EuroLeague Final Four MVP and three-time Best Defender receives €3 million per year in his expiring contract with Real Madrid and Panathinaikos has already offered him the same amount.

Hezonja, who’s never hid that he’s a Panathinaikos fan, already has a three-year, €2 million proposal by the Greens. Marca reports, that Real Madrid would only reach that number if they raise their salary ceiling.

This season so far, Tavares averaging 10.2 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.6 blocks, leading one of the strong defensive teams in the EuroLeague. Hezonja posts 13.4 points and 4.8 rebounds, a notable increase from his numbers last year (10.6 points, 3.0 rebounds).
