Euroleague suspends Milos Teodosic after incident in Istanbul

Anadolu Efes handed Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet their toughest defeat in the club’s EuroLeague history during the 2023/24 Regular Season final round. The match was marked by two incidents in the second half.

Milos Teodosic was ejected after protesting with the referees, and Joel Bolomboy and Tyrique Jones were also ejected after a short scuffle. The EuroLeague sanctioned them All, with Teodosic receiving a two-game suspension.

Per the official EuroLeague Round 34 disciplinary report:

Mr. Milos Teodosic, player of Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade, has been sanctioned with two games of suspension in the Euroleague Basketball competitions and a fine of €15,000 for the lack of respect towards a member of the officiating crew.

– Mr. Tyrique Jones, player of Anadolu Efes Istanbul, has been sanctioned with a fine of €5,000 for the attempted aggression against another individual.

– Mr. Joel Bolomboy, player of Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade, has been sanctioned with a fine of €2,500 for the attempted aggression against another individual.

Partizan Mozzart Bet was also fined €3,000 for lighting flares during the last-round game against Valencia in Belgrade Arena.
