After balanced forty minutes of action, AS Monaco managed to escape from the yellow-and-blue Ulker Sports And Event Hall with an important 65-62 victory to tie the series against Fenerbahce at 2-2 and force Game 5 at home.

As the game was coming to an end, the dawn of a scuffle started to take place on the court, involving players from both teams and some Turkish team’s fans who were sitting courtside.

Luckily nothing serious emerged, but somebody may have thought of last season’s incident in Game 2 of the EuroLeague Playoffs series between Real Madrid and Partizan Belgrade, when players from both teams went at each other after everything started between Sergio Llull and Kevin Punter.

Speaking in the post-game press conference, Sasa Obradovic recalled last year’s accident. “I can say that I was the one who first went into physical fights. But now I’m smarter and I say: “Go away” [to] not have the previous year’s experience with Partizan [Belgrade], [Kevin] Punter, and [Sergio] Llull”, AS Monaco’s head coach explained.

Sarunas Jasikevicius also touched on what happened in the final minutes of the game, apologizing to the EuroLeague audience immediately in the post-game flash interview. “I want to apologize to Monaco and EuroLeague for the last incident. This is not Fenerbahce, this is not us”, the Turkish powerhouse’s head coach said.
