At the 2025 EuroLeague Final Four in Abu Dhabi, AS Monaco reached the highest peak of the club’s trajectory in the EuroLeague since moving to the highest level in Europe, losing only in the final.

However, in order to have a competitive and experienced squad, ready for the biggest of challenges, a process had to be established in the Principality – that’s where Sasa Obradovic had the biggest merit.

The Serbian head coach was replaced during the season by Vassilis Spanoulis, but still kept the red-and-white Monegasque team in his heart.

With a message shared on his X profile, the experienced head coach spoke about his feelings regarding the recent matchup for the title between his former team and Fenerbahce.

“Emotionally was not easy to watch the games in Abu Dhabi. I know that I belong there, and I know that I am going to be there very soon,” Obradovic said.

“I put another level of dedication and hard work to be awarded one day. Congrats to Fener and Saras [Jasikevicius]; to Monaco, Daghe Munegu,” AS Monaco’s previous head coach also stated.
