Partizan suffered another loss in the EuroLeague, yet another convincing one, losing to Maccabi 112-87 in the 18th round at home.
Things haven’t been going well in Partizan for some time, ever since Zeljko Obradovic’s departure. After that, there were clashes between fans and management, as well as with individual players, including Tyrique Jones.
Even Joan Penarroya’s arrival didn’t change much; Jones was the target of fans throughout the game, who booed him constantly, and after the match, it escalated into an argument.
Tyrique approached the stands with fans, exchanged harsh words with several, and was eventually held back to prevent a more serious conflict.
Tyrese Rice calls for Tyrique’s departure
One of those who spoke out about the whole situation is former EuroLeague star Tyrese Rice, who expressed concern for the safety of the Partizan member.
“They have to get him out of there man. Forget the games, how is he going to move around the city with that much tension? All it takes is for him to be at a restaurant and a fan takes it too far.”
