Maccabi Tel Aviv guard Iffe Lundberg will be out for 4–6 weeks after tests confirmed a partial Achilles tendon tear, the club announced following Thursday’s EuroLeague win over Bayern Munich.
The Danish guard was among Maccabi’s best performers before limping off late in the game and not returning. He is set to miss the upcoming cup semifinal against Hapoel Jerusalem along with several key EuroLeague fixtures.
His absence leaves a significant gap in the backcourt, with increased playmaking duties expected to fall on Tamir Blatt.
Across 16 EuroLeague appearances for Maccabi, Lundberg averaged 11 points and 3.6 assists.
