Dubai Basketball has extended contracts for three members of its inaugural squad: captain Klemen Prepelič, Latvian sharpshooter Davis Bertans, and Serbian forward Nemanja Dangubić.
All three played major roles in the team’s 2024/25 debut season and will continue leading the club in European competitions, as officially confirmed.
“Slovenian guard and team captain Prepelič has been central to Dubai’s identity since day one. With 73 appearances since debuting in the 2024/25 ABA League campaign, his leadership and consistency have driven the team’s rapid rise as he continues to lead the team in this historic period.
Davis Bertans, who arrived from the NBA’s Charlotte Hornets and quickly earned the title “Latvian Laser,” has made 56 appearances for Dubai and was appointed vice-captain in recognition of his impact on and off the court. His experience at the highest level has added further credibility to the franchise.
Rounding out the trio is Serbian forward Dangubić, who brought more than a decade of EuroLeague experience to the roster. With 60 games under his belt in Dubai colours, his composure and winning pedigree have been instrumental as the franchise establishes itself among Europe’s elite,” stated Dubai Basketball.
