Valencia Basket have secured the future of Brancou Badio, reaching an agreement to extend the Senegalese shooting guard’s contract through the end of the 2028–29 season.

In his first full EuroLeague campaign, Badio emerged as one of the team’s main offensive options, averaging 10.8 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 2.1 assists for a performance rating of 8.6. Beyond the numbers, his energy, defensive intensity, and constant activity on both ends have been crucial for a Valencia side that qualified for the EuroLeague playoffs as a seeded team for the first time in club history.

The 27-year-old also delivered a standout individual performance against EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, setting a new EuroLeague career-high with 20 points and a 22 PIR.

Across all competitions this season, including Liga Endesa and the Copa del Rey, Badio has played 60 games, posting similar numbers to his European campaign with 10.4 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 2 assists per game for an 8.6 rating.

Badio joined Valencia in the summer of 2024 from BAXI Manresa, where he had already worked under head coach Pedro Martínez. Now in his second season with the club, he has already made 122 appearances and is closing in on a spot among Valencia’s all-time Top 40 scorers.

By extending Badio’s contract, Valencia underline their commitment to continuity and stability as they aim to build on their recent success in both domestic and European competitions.
